The roots of our company go back to the 1990s with Clarity Payment Solutions, which became TSYS Prepaid. Many of our leaders and team members worked in those pioneering payments startups as well as at TxVia, a next-generation payments processing company Google acquired in 2012.

Our Leadership Team

Cheryl Slipski, CEO

Cheryl is a legal and compliance expert with more than a decade of leadership experience in emerging payments. Prior to taking the helm of Ubiquity Compliance Solutions, she served as Executive Vice President for Ubiquity Global Services, a role she held since 2014. Her legal background, including 20 years working as an attorney, translates to a meticulous focus on accuracy, compliance and client service. Previously, she was a member of the executive team at TxVia and spent two years at Google after the Silicon Valley company bought TxVia’s payments processing technology. At Google Cheryl was a senior member of the business development team for Google Wallet. She also served on the board of directors of the NBPCA.

Carol Palmer-Stewart, VP, Client Solutions

Carol has nearly 15 years of experience in overseeing large dispute and chargeback operations teams within the prepaid industry. She specializes in the application of Reg E across payroll, general purpose reloadable and debit cards, as well as Reg Z for credit cards. Carol joined Ubiquity in 2014, after nearly two years as Google’s Chargeback and Disputes Process Manager, where she supported Google Wallet and other innovative products. She also worked at TxVia in a similar capacity to support prepaid issuers and program managers. Carol has extensive knowledge of the payment space, along with its operating and regulatory requirements and guidelines.

Kingsley Blatter, VP, Technology

Kingsley has more than 15 years of experience building and leading technology projects. Most recently, he was the CTO of a healthcare technology company focused on streamlining the referral process. Prior to that, he managed payment processing platforms for 10 years. A Director of Client Implementation at TxVia, Kingsley led development and management of client delivery and migrations. Following Google's acquisition of TxVia, he was instrumental in the development of host card emulation and other next-generation payment products. He left Google to work on multiple cloud-based products in the payments and messaging space. 

Nickolas Toth, Director of Fraud Services

Nick is a seasoned fraud manager with more than 20 years of experience in payment processing, risk mitigation and compliance. He has held a variety of positions at large financial institutions, issuers and processors. Prior to joining Ubiquity in 2014, he served as a Risk Operations Manager for Google, where he analyzed and supported compliance efforts, as well as fraud detection and prevention troubleshooting. He was working at TxVia for three years when Google acquired the business. He offers a unique combination of cybercrime investigation and analytical skills, along with the ability to directly access data warehouses in variety of query languages.

Heather Seeley, Director of Operations

Heather has more than 15 years of experience in the payments industry and has held various operational and training roles at financial institutions and program managers, including Citizens Financial Group, Higher One and BankMobile. She has significant error resolution compliance experience and her card operations background encompasses consumer and commercial debit and credit card processing platforms. Heather has a track record of reducing costs through improved operational efficiency while reducing organizational risk and improving the customer experience. She is also a Lean Six Sigma practitioner.

Loraine DeBonis, Marketing & Communications Director

Loraine has nearly 20 years of experience in communications. Prior to joining Ubiquity Compliance, she spent 10 years writing about all things payments for the B2B media company Paybefore, where she spearheaded content delivery for online and print publications, including Pay Magazine, Pay News and Pay Gov. Her work also has appeared in Banking Technology and American Banker. In her former role, she also evaluated the industry’s best technology, products and programs through her work as chair of the Pay Awards judging panel. She served on the board of the NBPCA from 2015-2017.
